Finally, we get to present you another episode of "Riddim Culture" on Greedio! Daddy Discipline's iconic roots reggae show was originally aired on Frankfurt community radio X in the late '90s and early '00s and, today, verges on an urban legend. Ever since 2020, we've been reviving his iconic format, digging up broadcast after broadcast from the Radio X vaults and uploading them to our Mixcloud channel to be revisited by the elders and rediscovered by the youth, proving that "Riddim Culture" is still very much alive.
Having aired the seventh instalment back in January, it's due time we unveil a fresh one. "Riddim Culture" number eight is simply titled "Got My Boogaloo" and sees Daddy Discipline back on the ones and twos for yet another two hours of dubplate education, serving up "a container load of skafunkrootsrocksteady." "Got My Boogaloo" includes lush tunes by "Jamaican soul giants" the likes of Alton Ellis and Delroy Wilson alongside classic material by Larry Marshall, Jackie Mittoo, Glen Adams, Roy Shirley, Lyn Taitt, Sound Dimension and Derrick Harriott. "Rougher than rough!"
