Hello again, and welcome back to another end-of-the-week Globalwize upload. WeltBeat host and selector Jean Trouillet recently aired a brand-new edition of his regular, far-reaching format on Frankfurt community radio X, sharing a fresh batch of eclectic tunes from around the world. The "Globalwize Radioshow #443" includes extraordinary music by pioneering German musician, DJ and composer Karl Bartos (of Kraftwerk fame) presenting his latest project "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari", Bosnian artist Goran Bregović with "A Moment of Melancholy" from his 2023 album "The Belly Button of the World", Russian-German pianist Igor Levit playing a piece from his recent Mendelssohn album "Lieder ohne Worte", Rennes-based musician, overtone singer and ethnomusicologist Johanni Curtet with Mongolian khöömii throat singing, Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and composer Frank London's Klezmer Brass Allstars followed by the Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Senegalese singer, composer and kora virtuoso Momi Maiga, Malian music fixture and Rail-Band founder Leon Keïta, French-Colombian bassist and singer Ëda Diaz with her new album "Suave Bruta", a selection of 1960s/70s merengue tunes from the Dominican Republic by Aristides Ramirez and Trio Rosario from a recent compilation on Bongo Joe Records, legendary Afro-Brazilian singer Ary Lobo, visionary French producer and Dowdelin mastermind Kiledjian with his own "The Otium Mixtape", the idiosyncratic and politically-minded big band sounds of Germany's Brigade Futur III, Grammy Award-winning, Los Angeles-based contemporary Mariachi band Mariachi Los Camperos, Italian musician and composer Salvio Vasallo collaborating with singer Monica Pinto on a Neapolitan version of Salomé, combining traditional elements with contemporary influences with added  support from musicians of Spaccanapoli, Bangalore's MD Pallavi and Hamburg's Andi Otto (read more here) receiving the remix treatment on Multi Culti and, last but not least, US composer Terry Riley reinterpreted by French ensemble 20 SONNEURS led by Erwan Keravec.
