11/10/2016Idris Ackamoor & The Pyramids Embark On Another Tour Of Europe This Fall

West Coast jazz mavericks The Pyramids and their mesmerizing frontman Idris Ackamoor will be playing 16 gigs across Europe this November. Following an almost 30-year hiatus and facing a growing demand for their inspirational output by vinyl lovers and jazz fans around the globe, the group reunited and signed to German label Disko B, where they released their new "Otherworldly" LP in 2012, as well as three albums from their super rare back catalogue. Having added renowned percussionist Kenneth Nash to the lineup, they just released their latest studio album "We Be All Africans" via Strut Records in May, which was recorded in Max Weissenfeldt's Berlin-based, analogue Philophon studio.

"‘We Be All Africans’ is a message of survival. A message of renewal. A message that we are all brothers and sisters. We are all one family, the human family and we need one another in order to survive on this planet that we all share."
