ABOUT
The second single in the Jewish Monkeys EP „Pop Juice“ (released mid April 2025), is the cover of legendary „Blitzkrieg Bop“ by The Ramones. It´s one of The Ramones' most iconic songs, and it's often credited with helping to define the early punk rock sound, becoming synonymous with the energy and raw simplicity that punk rock would become known for. The Ramones´ lead singer Joey Ramone became an icon not only for his contributions to punk rock but also for being one of the most visible Jewish figures in the genre, which was typically dominated by non-Jewish musicians.
